Pocket-lint readers don't want voice search

24 November 2008 16:22 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

It seems Pocket-lint readers see voice-enabled search functions a feature too far.

Both Google and Yahoo have recently launched voice-activated search, Google for iPhone, and Yahoo with its oneSearch mobile app.

But, in our latest reader poll we asked you "In terms of search engines, does voice technology interest you?" with only 38% saying yes.

62% of Pocket-lint's tech-savvy audience said no to such searches, suggesting perhaps that it will remain a niche option for now.
