Sennheiser launches VMX Office

£200 super headset kit

20 November 2008 16:12 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

Sennheiser has launched the VMX Office, a Bluetooth headset kit designed for office and mobile use.

The headset comes complete with a desktop Bluetooth base station that keeps the headset charged and connects to a landline, but can toggle between desk phone, mobile phone and PC, with users able to make hands-free calls up to 35 metres away from the base station.

TCO-certified, the device gets Sennheiser's ActiveGard tech that's designed to protect the user's hearing from high-pitched sounds and sudden surges in sound level.

With DSP and dual microphone technology, Sennheiser claims the device screens unwanted background noise and enhances voices.

Weighing 15 grams, it can be worn in either ear, boasts a lightweight ergonomic design and has automatic on/off function saving power when a user closes the headset.

With 5-hours talk time, in addition to the base station the VMX Office comes with a USB charge cable, a car charger and a RJ9-RJ45 adapter cable. It's available exclusively at Play.com for £200.
