2008 Weblog Awards open for nominations

Public nominations are now being accepted for this year's Weblog Awards.

The Weblog Awards are the world's largest blog competition with over 545,000 votes cast in 2007 and nearly two million votes cast since 2003.

The 2008 Weblog Awards public nominations are for 48 categories of blog, with voting for finalists expected begin in early December 2008.

Last year PostSecret won the best blog overall while Engadget beat Gizmodo in the Technology category by the narrowest of margins.

This year the field is wide open for all categories, so if you've a blog you're partial too and think it deserves some Awards-love, get nominating now.
