Epson has launched two new scanners aimed firmly at business users.

The GT-S50 and GT-S80 series are both sheetfed scanners and they also boast USB 2.0 interfaces.

The GT-S80 series can scan up to 40 pages per minute (80 images per minute duplexed); whilst the GT-S50 series achieves 25ppm.

Both of the launches have an LCD display to make it easier to access scan-to job functions, which can also be customised.

BizCard Reader comes as standard on both models and this converts contact information on business cards and enters them into a digital database.

Both models also use Epson's Ready Scan LED technology, which means the unit has low power consumption and requires virtually no warm up time.

The GT-S50 starts at £439 + VAT and will be available from December, while the GT-S80 is £702 + VAT.
