Medion announced the latest in their line of desktop computers, the P7300D, on Thursday. With impending financial doom, this looks like something of a bargain. The high-end base unit features a 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 CPU, backed by 4GB RAM, and features a massive 1TB hard drive.Gamers and HD camera users will appreciate the Nvidia GeForce 9600GT graphics card and HDMI and DVI output for high-definition content. Sadly they’ll have to make do with the DVD rewriter in the absence of Blu-ray.
A TV card with DVB-T, DVB-S and analogue tuners, is also included as well as support for 8-channel sound, an external hard drive tray and a whole host of connectivity. The Vista machine comes with Media Center and a supplied remote makes control of your content easy. A wireless keyboard and mouse are supplied, but no monitor.
It will be on sale in Aldi stores nationwide on 27 November 2008, priced at £499.99 while stocks last.
