Apple issues trackpad update for new MacBooks

Fixes click problems

Apple has released a firmware update for its new MacBooks that promises to fix the glitchy trackpads.

Although experiences vary, users have reported problems with the pads that see them stop working every 50 clicks or so for around five to ten clicks.

The completely redesigned trackpads on the new model MacBooks are made from glass, offer a larger tracking area than previous models and act as a push button.

"This firmware update addresses an issue where trackpad clicks may not be recognized on MacBook (13-inch, Aluminum, Late 2008) and MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2008) computers", Apple states.
