Humax fan fix software dated

Update for PVR-9150T and PVR-9300T coming soon

17 November 2008 12:00 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

Further to the news Pocket-lint brought you that a fix was being worked on, Humax has now confirmed the dates for the over-the-air software upgrade to minimise fan noise on its PVR-9150T and PVR-9300T digital TV recorders.

Humax says the Smart Fan Control software will keep fan use to an absolute minimum by ensuring the fan only switches on if the PVRs exceed a temperature outside of that necessary for safe operation and will switch off after a short period of time.

The upgrades will automatically take place on all PVR-9150T and PVR-9300T models on the following dates, as long as they are in stand-by mode overnight:

The PVR-9300T's update is due from the 27th to the 29th November, while the PVR-9150T's fix will hit between the 5th and 8th December.
