Following the soft launch of the UK version back in June, Microsoft has debuted its online store in the States.

Simply titled the Microsoft Store, the online shop offers both hardware and software across all the company's product lines.

Shoppers can buy PC peripherals, Xbox games and (if in the States) Zunes from the same site, and get the same level of support as if it were bought elsewhere.

Some applications are also available as direct downloads, including most versions of Office 2007.

As well UK and US versions, there are also German and Korean sites live with stores for France, Japan, Netherlands and Spain to be available in the near future.
