Logitec Japan, which is a whole different outfit from the keyboard and mouse maker, has unveiled the LHD-ED1000U2L.

The 1TB external HDD with USB 2.0 with some Eco friendly features, including a Power Saving mode which will stop any HDD rotation after 1 minute of inactivity.

This feature will work on both PCs and Macs, but only a PC will have the appropriate software to allow you to tweak the power-saving feature and increase the time needed to stop the HDD disk rotations.

The LHD-ED1000U2L will cost around 220 euros, but it looks like it's only going to be available in Japan for the meanwhile.
