German software developer Magix reckons it can save all of your precious records and tapes.

The company had brought out a software package for digitising the content you have on video tapes, but has now turned its attention to vinyl records and cassette tapes.

It allows you to digitise your record or tape collection to be archived on your PC or burned to CD.

The package includes the software, Magix Audio Cleaning Lab 15 deluxe and a phono pre-amp for hooking up directly to your PC.

The software is suitable for 33, 45, and 78 RPM LPs, and is claimed to be simple to use with step-by-step instructions.

The Rescue Your Vinyl & Tapes package is now available online from Amazon and in shops for £49.99.
