Toshiba offers LOVEFiLM rentals with XDE DVD player

XD-E500 comes complete with year's subscription

Toshiba is trying to tempt consumers this Christmas by offering a year's worth of movie rentals with one of its new DVD players.

Toshiba's new XD-E500 DVD player comes with 12 months free rental subscription to movie website lovefilm.com, which is said to be worth around £100.

The XD-E500 is the first player to boasts Toshiba's new "XDE" technology that offers upscaling of standard definition content to look like HD.

The DVD player is on sale now for a recommended retail price of £119.99 with the option to register for the free rentals.
