Coolafone offering luxury hotel breaks for old phones

New website for eco conscious phone users

There's a new home for old and unwanted mobile phones.

Coolafone is a trade-in website where you can swap your phone for nights in boutique hotels with www.mrandmrssmith.com, or gift vouchers to spend in iTunes, Principles or the Ethical Superstore.

You can also use the value of your phone to buy luxury hampers from www.finefoodstore.co.uk or even music Lessons from artists like Blur, Duffy and KT Tunstall via www.nowplayit.com.

Or you can donate your cash to various charities like Staro.org (saving the Rainforest), Wastewatch.org and more.

How it works is Coolafone values each mobile phone in Coolacredits, which can be converted into e-vouchers to spend or donate.

For example, a Nokia N95 will get you a free night at a Mr and Mrs Smith boutique hotel, and a Sony Ericsson K850i will get you a free subscription to hundreds of magazines.

Even a clunky old phone will normally be enough for a few iTunes downloads! Hit the link below to see how many credits you could get.
