Asus is planning to launch a 12-inch ultra-slim notebook, akin to the recently launched S101, manufacturing sources have indicated.DigiTimes cites notebook component companies when stating that the new notebook - said to be called the ZX series - will have similar functionality to the S101, but with a 12-inch, rather than 10-inch display.
The sources report that Asus had originally designed the S101 netbook for its ZX series, "but at the last moment decided to release the product as part of its netbook line, as the company wanted to deliver a high-end Eee PC product to the market".
Due to launch by the end of the year, the price point for the new notebooks is said to be around the £600 mark. Hardware, Laptops, Asus, Rumours
