Apple: No new products before Christmas

Spokesperson moves to quash rumours

Despite online rumours to the contrary, Apple has spoken out to squash suggestions that the company is planning imminent product launches.

An Apple representative has told Macworld that there are no plans to release any new products before "the holidays".

"Our holiday line-up is set", Apple spokesman Bill Evans told Macworld, likely hoping this will ensure consumers don't hang on to buy Apple products in the lucrative Christmas period.

New iMacs and an updated Mac mini were the latest rumours to hit, and unsurprising candidates as they are the only major Mac products that haven't seen updates in the past several months.
