The BlackBerry Storm will go on sale from this Friday 7 November through Vodafone in the UK, a report from Mobiletoday suggests.

This date for the device's debut is said to be subject to Vodafone getting enough stock into stores in time, as pre-orders are said to have reached 70,000.

The phone should see high profile launch at Vodafone's flagship store on Oxford Street in London with F1 motor racer - and now World Champion - Lewis Hamilton at the store.

Mobiletoday quotes a Vodafone staffer as saying: "It just looks incredible. I’ve seen the iPhone and this hammers it. We reckon we’ll sell tons of them. I’m really glad we’ve got this exclusively".

Vodafone has offered a "no comment" on this news, but stayed tuned for more as we have it.
