We've seen the red version launch in the States, but it seems department store giant John Lewis will offer the rouge version in the UK.

Available exclusively to John Lewis, the red Reader offers the same functionality as the standard model, and is priced at £199.

Described as slim, lightweight and compact the Sony Reader lets you store and take up to 160 books with you.

The six-inch screen is an E-Ink display, so needs no backlighting, which is good for battery life, and high contrast ratios.
