Pioneer has announced its new HDJ-2000 professional DJ headphones.

The HDJ-2000s' high-quality frequency response is optimised for pro DJ use and is said to ensures superb clarity with clear separation.

Pioneer says the HDJ-2000s' 50mm driver units and high-flux magnets create outstanding resolution, from bass to treble, and are ideal for studio applications.

With a "rugged but lightweight" magnesium swivel/fold mechanism, the headphones are described as robust, comfortable and compact to transport.

With memory-foam padding and a protein leather surface the HDJ-2000s will be available from late 2008 with a suggested retail price of £199.
