With the credit crunch on, people will be shopping around even more than before, and US retail chain Wal-Mart is well aware of this.It has announced plans to sell the Google G1 Android phone for around $30 less than T-Mobile USA, which is the exclusive American carrier for the device.
From today, the retailer is selling the touchscreen phone for $148.88 in about 550 stores.
Android fans have to sign up to a 2-year T-Mobile USA contract, however, to get it.
T-Mobile USA is selling the phone for $179.
In the UK the phone will go on sale in T-Mobile shops from 30 October.
The doors of the flagship London branch will open at 7am and the G1 will be available from free on £40 per month contracts. Phones, Biz, Wal-Mart, Android, Google, Mobile phones
