We knew that they were looking into it in August, but now ITV has confirmed that it is going to bring some of its video content to the networking website Friends Reunited.Videos will be added to all four of the ITV owned websites - Friends Reunited, Genes Reunited, Friends Reunited Dating and Friends Reunited Gaming in a bid to boost revenue.
The videos will be user-generated and will be along the lines of what we used to sob over in Cilla Black's Surprise Surprise (remember that?).
Andy Baker, Friends Reunited managing director, explained: "We get such powerful stories coming out of Genes Reunited that it makes sense to spend money helping users put their video stories on the site. One of the benefits of being owned by ITV is that it has a set of video journalists who can help us create a fantastic end result".
