The doors of the flagship London branch will open at 7am for those who want to be the first to own the world's first Android-based mobile phone.

T-Mobile says the G1 will offer a completely new mobile internet experience with full touch screen functionality plus a QWERTY keyboard for easy online communication, high speed internet with Google services already on board, and access to application downloads from the new Android Market.

The G1 will be available from free on £40 per month contracts.
