Sonos has introduced the Sonos Controller for iPhone as a free download on the Apple App Store.
Music lovers with an iPhone 3G, iPhone or iPod touch can now control Sonos Multi-Room Music System all from their portable device via their Wi-Fi network.
The app lets users pick a room, pick a song and hit play or search for favourite artists and songs by typing on the touch screen. Browsing collections is done by pointing and flicking and the volume levels can be adjusted too.
The Sonos Controller for iPhone also lets user control their entire music collection on any computer on their home network, a Network Attached Storage drive or an Apple Time Capsule.
In conjunction with the new Sonos Controller for iPhone, Sonos has introduced the Sonos Software 2.7.
The update includes new support for a suite of music content including Last.fm streaming and scrobbling and free access to more than 15,000 radio stations and shows from around the world.
