Pioneer has announced the launch of its Full HD 1080p Kuro limited edition plasma flat screen TVs - the "exquisitely styled" 50-inch KRP-500AW and KRP-500ABG.

The new TVs, described as "masterpieces of design and engineering" come in two colour variants - pure white and "richly nuanced" beige grisé.

Measuring 64mm slim, Pioneer says to guarantee a high degree of exclusivity both models are produced in strictly limited editions.

"With these Limited Edition KURO TVs we want to offer our customers the opportunity to customise their viewing environment even further by harmonising their TV with their interior design. The minimalist White and luxurious Beige Grisé KUROs are an excellent means to express one’s individual taste and style," states Jim Catcheside, product manager for home business division at Pioneer.

"As special as our new colour models are, they both bear all the established hallmarks of a true KURO: exhilarating performance, impressive picture quality and unsurpassed technological mastery"”

In order to esure the screen's slimness - and therefore wallmountability - the KRP-500AW and the KRP-500ABG come with a media receiver, which connects to the screen through a single cable.

The KRP-500AW and KRP-500ABG will be available in November. An optional wall bracket and stereo side speakers as well as a colour matching swivel stand will also be available. Rough pricing is said to be around £2850.
