This year's nominations for the 2005 Pocket-lint.co.uk awards for BEST COMPACT DIGITAL CAMERA are:The
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX7
Panasonic has created a real beauty with the FX7. Small, stylish and with an accomplished feature set that is sure to appeal to all in the I-must-have-a-sexy-snapper fraternity
The Nikon S1
A super compact addition to the Nikon range. It's reasonably priced and performed well in a wide range of situations
Fujifilm F10
The Fuji FinePix F10 is a little cracker that provides a simple to use and it's a good price too
Kodak EasyShare One
Give it a couple of years and this breakthrough product will be the norm and for us we think that can only be a good thing
Pentax Optio 50
Upping the ratio of megapixels to pounds spent, this is a camera that delivers all the features to get you started in digital photography, all at a reasonable price
The awards will be held on the 1 December 2005 and include any product that has been launched in the UK since the 1 December 2004.
There are 13 categories including the Pocket-lint Readers Award sponsored by Vodafone where you will have your say rather than the judges on the best gadget from all the nominations of 2005.
Voting for the gadget of the year will start on 1 November 2005 and finish on 30 November 2005.
