Banpresto trundles out level crossing clock

For your grandad?

A year ago, Banpresto launched an alarm clock that literally had you hopping out of bed, because it made you have to defuse a bomb (ok so not a real one), to get the alarm to stop.

Well the Japanese company has now gone completely the opposite way to the DangerBomb Clock with its Level Crossing clock, which is far more sedate.

When your alarm clock starts to ring, the light turns on, and you just have to push the red button to turn off the device and then can go back to sleep peacefully, dreaming of the Orient Express and puffs of steam clouds.
