Google has introduced Gmail for mobile version 2.0 for J2ME-supported and BlackBerry phones.Google says: "Our focus for this version was to make the experience faster and more reliable. We rearchitected the entire client to push all the processing to the background, greatly improve the client-side caching scheme and optimize every bottleneck piece of code we came across."
What that actually means is that users should see overall performance improvement with smoother scrolling.
There's now multiple accounts management for those with both a Gmail and Google Apps email account and basic offline support for when users have no signal.
In addition, the improvements see the option to save multiple email drafts and new shortcut keys.
Gmail for mobile 2.0 is available in over 35 languages now. Go to m.google.com/mail in your mobile browser to download the new Gmail for mobile for your phone. Phones, Apps, Google, Email, BlackBerry
