Gmail offers canned responses

Labs option sees auto-generated replies

If you find yourself typing the same email response time and time again, day in, day out, then Gmail has a nice little trick for you.

A Labs offering, "canned responses" lets Gmail users set-up auto-replies with pre-determined content on an as-and-when, or automated basis.

It's available via either the Gmail filter option that's based on a combination of keywords, sender, recipients, and the like in incoming messages, or as a drop down option for ad-hoc answering when you hit reply.

To use the feature, Gmailers need go to settings, Labs, scroll down and check "enable" on the canned reponse section and then start scribing their auto-replies.
