Toshiba has launched the latest addition to its Satellite Pro range, with the announcement of the S300 for the UK market.Designed primarily as a desktop replacement for business use, Toshiba says the under-3kg Satellite Pro S300 is a "premium quality" laptop powered by the latest Intel Centrino 2 processors.
All models get a 15.4-inch Toshiba TruBrite widescreen display, up to 3GB of DDR2 RAM and integrated HDD storage ranging from 160GB to 250GB.
The Satellite Pro S300 includes Toshiba's EasyGuard technology with biometric log-in, which provides protection against both security threats and potential hardware damage.
The S300 offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, DVD Super Multi Drive, Gigabit Ethernet, integrated USB/eSATA combination ports, webcam, microphone, USB Sleep and Charge with embedded 3G/HSDPA in certain models.
The Toshiba Satellite Pro S300, complete with Windows Vista Business, is available from October with prices starting at £439.00.
