WalkingHotSpot now available in Europe

Wi-Fi connections anywhere on this continent

For a one-off fee, software developer TapRoot Systems claims it can offer smartphone users across Europe access to Wi-Fi hotspots.

Load up its WalkingHotSpot software and the company claims you'll get "cost-effective anytime, anywhere internet connection via 3G smartphones".

It continues: "Users can securely retrieve e-mails, as well as browse the Internet, on Wi-Fi enabled devices such as laptops and MP3 players as well".

WalkingHotSpot was in beta earlier this year, but is now availale to buy for any Symbian OS and Microsoft Windows Mobile smartphone.

The one-time fee is $24.99 (approximately £18) for the lifetime of the phone or there is also a monthly plan for $6.99 (approximately £5).

A 7-day free trial is available for new users.
