Buffalo Technology has unveiled the NanoStation – its first 1.8-inch portable hard disk drive.

The bus-powered pocket-sized drive is the same size as "three stacked credit cards" and weighs in at 56 grams.

The NanoStation offers plug and play capabilities and includes backup and sync software, mobile applications such as Firefox and Thunderbird for on-the-go email and web browsing and Buffalo's SecureLockMobile software.

The NanoStation (or HD-PT60U2) is backed by a limited 2-year warranty and is available from November at an estimated street price of £65.99.
