You may not have heard of the company, but if you have loads of cash to splash on a desktop PC - and perhaps also a ticket to Japan to get it - here's the DosPara Prime SSD-RAID.

This $9340 monster delivers a reading speed of 1119.73MBps, has six Intel X25-M Mainstream 80GB SSDs and a total disk space of 480GB.

The Prime SSD-RAID also features an Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 (3.16GHz), with 4GB of RAM, a 80GB SATA2 HDD, and Nvidia GeForce 9600GT (Dual DVI) graphics card.

  • Just because it has six SSDs, does not mean that its fast. The GPU's for example, are far from top of the range.

For that price I would expect at least a three way SLI setup, Not simply a mainstream 9600GT.
