They may not offer a longer battery life than previous models, but these concepts from Panasonic are still worth a mention as they are half the size.

The two new fuel cell battery prototypes for mobile devices deliver a maximum output of 20W and a 20 hour battery lifespan but are smaller and thinner than the other models out there, claims Panasonic.

The rub - they won't be available until 2012, says Engadget.
