Steve Jobs may think Blu-ray is a "bag of hurt" but there are plenty of folk out there who would like to see MacBooks get BD disc compatibility.
Amex Digital has stepped up and launched an external, portable super multi drive that offers CD, DVD and Blu-ray playback and burning for PCs and Macs.
The slot-loading drive measures 140 x 143 x 16mm and weighs in at 360 grams, the device can be bus-powered or run off the mains.
Available in black or white, the glossy add-on will go on sale in the States for $289.00 for the model that just offers Blu-ray playback and $389 for the Blu-ray recorder.
