• I think this is a great idea and agree with Steve Jobs' decision not to include a Blu ray drive in the new Macbook. Especially when you consider how expensive Bly ray discs are compared with DVD. The fact of the matter is that most people can afford DVD's more easily than.Blu ray and in terms of computing it makes more sense since the majority of people watch Movies on their TV and not on their laptop.

  This statement is the big mislead. If you have seen Blu-ray and dvd side by side on a big screen you can say it is several times clearer than DVD with only double price. Yet you might not enjoy watching movie in your computer. But if you own 24" iMac or 24" monitor connected to MacBook, you might have a desire to. Posted by Anna_Hawkins, United Kingdom
