SanDisk is hoping to take on CDs with its new music platform, slotMusic.
While the platform, which uses microSD cards for holding albums, isn't going to arrive in the UK until next year, US punters can now buy slotMusic albums from Best Buy and Wal-Mart for $14.99.
SanDisk has now released details of the artists, and the list includes ABBA to Katy Perry, Keane, Jimi Hendrix, Nickelback and Young eezy.
And adds that some of the artists have put extra content on their 1GB cards including videos, photos and "behind the scenes" footage from concerts.
More artists will join the list by the end of the year, we've been told, thanks to agreements with the four biggest music labels - Sony BMG, Universal Music Group, EMI Music and Warner Music Group.
