Maplin has launched a seven-inch portable LCD colour digital and analogue TV.

Aimed at soap and sports fans, the compact hand-held TV is designed to be used out and about and can can store and receive over 250 analogue and 999 digital channels, saving the favourites to memory.

It can also be used as a digital receiver for larger TV sets, and has "complete connectivity" for camcorders, VCR and DVD systems.

Complete with a remote control and earphones for personal viewing, the TV has a 7.4V rechargeable battery, boasting a 2-hour battery life.

There are internal, "full range" speakers, and the option for adding additional audio support.

Supplied with car cigarette power adaptor and extendable car aerial, the portable telly is on sale now from Maplin for £100.
