Warner Bros to offer DivX downloads
But not in HD 'til next year

In the States, DivX and Warner Bros Entertainment has announced an agreement that will enable online retailers to offer Warner Bros. titles in the DivX standard definition format.
SD content is due to be available in October 2008, while high-definition format in will launch in September 2009 for playback on DivX Certified consumer electronics devices.
The agreement covers all titles available for digital distribution in the Warner Bros catalogue including current and back-catalogue major motion pictures and television programs.
"Warner Bros. offers an extremely compelling catalogue of premium, high-quality content enjoyed by consumers all over the world", said Kevin Hell, CEO of DivX, Inc.
"We're very excited to work together to offer consumers premium content on any DivX device, from the PC to the living room and on the go."
