Trust launch wireless home CCTV system

PRESS RELEASE: The Trust 140BM LCD Wireless Observation System (www.trust.com/13816) allows the user to monitor their baby or to keep an eye on their car in the garage at all times of the day and night. This security system can easily be taken to the neighbour's house, for example, so that the user can keep an eye on everything via the portable monitor. This security system transmits an interference-free signal, even through walls and ceilings. Not only the nursery, but also other rooms, such as the garage, can be viewed via the colour LCD monitor, provided they are within the maximum range of 100 metres. Since this Plug & Play system is completely wireless, the user can easily install it anywhere. This system can also be expanded using other wireless Trust video cameras and receivers.

This wireless observation system consists of two components. There is a wireless colour camera with an integrated microphone and a lens with a 1/3" CMOS sensor which can be rotated to the desired position. This camera has extra infrared LEDs for black-and-white night vision, so that a nursery, garage or other dark room can be monitored at night.

The system also consists of a wireless monitor with a 4 cm colour TFT LCD screen. This portable monitor has an integrated receiver and loudspeaker, as well as an extra video output for connecting it to a TV or video recorder using the Scart cable supplied with the system. The colour monitor can be set so that it turns on automatically when sound is registered. The monitor has buttons which can be used to turn the sound on or off and to adjust the light intensity for a longer battery life span.

The 140BM LCD Wireless Observation System operates at a wireless frequency of 2.4 GHz and has three different channels for selecting the best quality signal reception. Both the camera and the monitor are powered by the two power adapters provided or four 1.5 V AA batteries (not included). The security system comes supplied with an assembly set for attaching the camera or monitor to a wall, a Scart cable and a multi-language instruction manual. The Trust 140BM LCD Wireless Observation System will be available from the end of February.
