Sanyo has launched the Xacti E6, a compact 6 megapixel digital camera with a 3 inch TFT screen.

The basic model also features a best shot mode that takes four pictures at different exposures and then displays the results on screen so you can chose the best one and delete the rest.

The camera offers a 3x optical and 4x digital zoom as well as the ability to capture VGA size (640x480) TV quality movies at 30 frames per second (30fps).

The E6 also boasts a more sensitive touch sensor focus button compared to conventional camera models in which the auto focus is activated by pressing the shutter button halfway to focus the subject, before pushing the button all the way down.

The E6 has a simple design - measuring only 97.7 (W) x 59.5 (H) x 22.8 (D) mm and weighting 134 grams.

For a limited time Sanyo has teamed up with Amazon.co.uk to offer a the new Xacti E6 with 512MB memory card and free Lowepro Carry Case.
