Movember has been officially launched in the UK and this year Pocket-lint is getting in on the moustache growing action. The movement, which sees you having to grow a tache for the month of November, is to raise money for The Prostate Cancer Charity here in the UK.
The Prostate Cancer Charity is all about raising both public awareness of the disease and political debate about services and support.
Currently around 30,000 men a year are diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and around 10,000 men a year die from the disease. That's over 1 every hour.
So now the fun bit...
Pocket-lint is an official sponsor of Movember and we are calling on you to join our team and grow a moustache from 1 November.
All you have to do is grow some facial hair under your nose (no beards allowed) and get people to sponsor you. All funds raised by Movember in the UK stay in the UK and go directly to The Prostate Cancer Charity.
We don't mind if you register on your own, with your company or if you want to join our Pocket-lint team (we would love to have you), all we want, is for you to spread the Mo-love.
And if you aren't brave enough to grow your own tache, then why don't you sponsor us instead and we'll do the hard work for you.
Throughout November we will be bringing you a series of articles, reviews, interview and general Movember shenanigans.
Happy growing.
