iPhone to get Foleo-like companion device?

French company shows "coming soon" concept

Here's an interesting concept, currently being shown off in a teaser page for French tech and industrial design co Neovenz.

The "OLO" appears to be a kind of companion device for the Apple iPhone in which the mobile docks, or slots into, where the trackpad would traditionally be.

Speculation is suggesting this could work like Palm's ill-fated "Foleo" that offered a larger screened, full keyboard support gadget that piggy-backed the phone's connectivity.

The iPhone's touchscreen abilities could be used to control the laptop-esque product, although why the Leopard operating system is shown in the promo image's screenshot is mysterious.

Other than the message "Sorry, but your PC is out!" and a coming soon comment, no other info is revealed at this stage. We'll bring you more when we get it.
