So you're 15 minutes into a 4 hour car journey, and already getting to the stage where you're sleepy, grumpy and bored all at the same time.

Enter the Carcade system, a prototype game that uses a webcam to incorporate objects from the outside of the car into a game.

The webcam records what you are seeing looking out of your passenger window (obviously this isn't one for the person driving), and then puts this info into the game - whether building or other vehicles or even trees.

The game at the moment lets you pick a spacecraft then you have to manoeuvre it to dodge the enemies coming at you but also the objects taken from the "real world" passing by the car.

And the faster the car goes, the more difficult the game gets.
