Microsoft has become Wembley Stadium's first Founding Partner at the estimated cost of £5million making it one of four top-level sponsors over the next 5 years.

As Wembley Stadium's first Founding Partner, Microsoft UK will support the Stadium in its final stage of construction and for the first 4 years of its operational life.

“We are committed to supporting the UK in projects to boost local communities, and in becoming the stage for the world's biggest events”, said Nick Barley, Business & Marketing Officer at Microsoft UK.

Microsoft will also be given "unique access" to Wembley's pitch for one day each year to hold a celebrity event or product launch such as the upcoming Windows Vista, or perhaps football days in collaboration with the Xbox 360 and the Xbox Live service.

Wembley Stadium will welcome over two million visitors each year to a wide variety of live entertainment events and generate approximately 5,000 new jobs.
