Clickjacking threat reported by Adobe

Webcams and microphones controlled by hackers

Adobe has warned of potential "clickjacking" attacks, rating the threat as "critical", its highest ranking, but admits it does not yet have a patch to fix the issue.

Hackers could use so called "clickjacking" attack tactics to secretly turn on a computer's microphone and webcam through a vulnerability in Flash software.

Flash on all platforms is susceptible. Users are tricked into visiting a malicious site and through "seemingly-innocent clicks" grant the site access to their computer's webcam.

"This potential 'clickjacking' browser issue affects Adobe Flash Player's microphone and camera access dialog", acknowledged David Lenoe, security program manager, Adobe.

Lenoe has promised a patch will be issued by the end of the month.
