3M has launched the MPro110 micro professional projector, described as a "tiny, lightweight device comparable to the size of a smartphone".

The exact measurements are 115 x 50 x 22mm and it weighs 152 grams. Boasting a completely silent operation, the rechargeable battery gives up to 60 minutes running time.

Using LCOS technology the MPro110 has an aspect ratio of 4:3, a native resolution of 640 x 480 VGA and it can project imagery from 5 inches up to 50 inches.

It's designed for use with laptops as well as mobiles, iPods, video MP3 players, digital cameras and games consoles - although "specialist cables" may be required.

Available now, the MPro110 micro professional projector has a recommended selling price of £299.
