Sony has expanded its line of Memory Stick media in the States.

The HX series of Memory Stick media that offers 4 or 8GB capacities now gets a USB adaptor to enable higher transfer rates.

The new HX series offers a 20MBps read speed and 15MBps write speed, about three times faster than regular Memory Stick PRO-Duo media.

In addition, Sony is also introducing a new version of its Memory Stick Entertainment Pack, which lets users choose one of four movies from Sony Pictures Entertainment.

The featured titles include: "Surf's Up", "The Da Vinci Code", "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" and "Benchwarmers".

There's also a new line of Memory Stick Micro (M2) media from Sony, designed for use with Sony Ericsson phones. These new models are available in 1, 2, 4 and 8GB capacities, and come with a USB adaptor.
