Ryanair to offer in-flight calls within days

Ryanair passengers will be able to use mobile phones in-flight within 2 weeks, reports The Times.
14 of Ryanair's 166 aircraft are to be fitted with "miniature mobile phone masts" that will mean passengers can make and receive calls as well as texts and emails.
Texting and emailing will be without limitations, but only six passengers at any time will be able to be on the blower, if six phones are already in action, a "network busy" message will appear for anyone trying to dial out.
It won't be a cheap exercise though, as the calls will be charged according to the in-flight roaming charge imposed by the phone user's network, which could be up to £2 per minute.
If deemed successful after a 6-month trial period, Ryanair will roll out the service across its entire fleet.
