LG Electronics and PRADA Group have announced that the global sales of the Prada phone by LG have reached one million units.
The phone had its global debut in March 2007 and offered a full touchscreen - at the time a relatively cutting edge feature for a mobile phone.
In a press statement, LG says: "This visionary approach by intimate and productive partnership from two vastly different industries became a platform for new design opportunities and opened doors to diverse multimedia experiences".
A Prada phone mark II has been rumoured of late with leaked pics and spec hitting the Internet, and it seems these rumours are not without foundation, from LG:
"Encouraged by the strong market response, LG and Prada have committed to further collaborations and will launch a new handset model starting from Europe in the 4Q of 2008."
