32GB iPhone 3G rumours causing web confusion

Is it coming soon?

So a launch of an updated iPhone 3G, with more memory, is being mooted for January - which is when MacWorld happens so wouldn't be beyond the realm of reality.

But this is just one of the rumours that has been flying around today about an update of the 3G model.

AppleInsider hinted earlier today that a 32GB model may appear as early as next month, but has now decided this is not so.

It is, however, pointing to low stocks of the 8GB iPhone 3G, which it says could suggest Apple is prepping the market for a new launch.

Other rumours suggest that the 32GB model could have a whooping £500 price tag so we'd hope there'd be more new features than just the added memory.

IT Pro Portal says better battery life and a 3.2MP camera wouldn't be out of the question.

But it's all speculation at the moment and Apple is sure to keep any info on any new launch - a 32GB iPhone 3G or no - under wraps until its big event in January.
