To celebrate the UK Online F@ster Film awards we have teamed up with UK Online, the Consumer ISP, to offer one lucky reader the chance to win a Sony DCR-HC22E Handycam Mini DV Camcorder and Free 8 Meg broadband for a year with wireless router worth £800.

Consumer ISP UK Online has teamed up with short film label Future Shorts to create a national short films competition, ‘UK Online F@ster Films', searching for the future stars of the British film making industry. Budding directors have until October 23rd to submit their entry, for the chance to win an international film distribution contract with Future Shorts, as well as a film making course at the New York Film School. The competition judges include Nik Powell, Director of the National Film & Television School and producer of films including ‘Mona Lisa' and ‘Absolute Beginners'.

Full details of the competition and screening can be found at: www.ukonline.net/faster

The camcorder features a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, with a 20X Optical Zoom capability and a filter diameter of 25mm. This ensures that your footage will be of pin-sharp quality, even when you are zooming in from a significant distance, while the sizable lens guarantees a bright picture.

Your Sony camcorder is always ready to shoot and playback. The Handycam Station is a powered cradle for the Sony DCR-HC22E that features an i.LINK connection for digital video editing on a PC or to copy footage to a DVD recorder, as well as USB for Web streaming purposes. Multi AV (Analogue, S-Video and Audio) is also featured for dubbing to analogue tape, as well as playing back movies or still images on a TV.
