LG has added a new model to its HD Ready plasma TV line-up that incorporates Freeview+, which is a built-in digital video recorder (DVR) (for which you don't have to pay a subscription).

This means that PG6900 owners can pause, play and rewind live TV.

The PG6900 series includes 42- and 50-inch models - both of which boast dual tuners, which means viewers can watch one programme while recording another simultaneously.

They also offer 160GB of storage space, allowing up to 57 hours of digital recording.

All the new plasma TV sets are 100Hz and feature LG’s AV Mode which optimises the picture depending on whether you are watching movies, sports or playing games.

Also worth a mention is the Expert Mode which is claimed to offer 25 more fine adjustment points than other sets available.

LG adds that this series also has three HDMI 1.3 ports and the the panel is promised to last 100,000 hours.

No prices as yet but you'll get them when we do.
