Audio Pro has launched the Porto Go, a leather-clad, portable mains or battery-powered music system for the iPod.

Said to be "upholstered in immaculately-stitched red, white or black leather", the dock is "Made for iPod" and can dock all music players except the shuffle.

Navigation through songs, artists and compilations can be made from the fascia buttons or through the supplied credit-card sized remote, that can be stored in a pocket on the back of the unit.

Other MP3 players, can be connected using 3.5mm stereo jack and the Porto Go offers "EmbracingSound" technology, that claims to create "size-defying" levels of rhythmic, punchy sound at up to 100dB.

The cow-clad unit is on sale now for a not-to-be-mooed-at £179.
